Practice Profile: As an appellate lawyer, Hawkins Warren coordinates appeals on behalf of Georgia. Her work ranges from the Georgia Court of Appeals to the U.S. Supreme Court. Hawkins Warren is a key representative for the state in an equitable apportionment action filed by Florida over water in the Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint River Basin (Florida v. Georgia). Before taking the lead for the Office of the Attorney General, Hawkins Warren served as deputy solicitor general and special counsel for water litigation. Prior to joining the Department of Law, she was a litigation partner at Kirkland & Ellis, where she served as outside counsel to Georgia in the case.
