The Delaware Superior Court said a Wilmington firm at the center of a legal malpractice case did not bring a retaliatory suit against a former client who the firm said owes it money from services rendered in a bankruptcy proceeding gone awry.

The claim for abuse of process alleged that boutique Hiller & Arban abused the legal process by pursuing a case for the purpose of forcing former client Abraham P. Korotki out of parallel litigation in order “extort a dismissal” and cover up the firm’s supposedly unlawful conduct.
