Lawyers for a subscription-based distributor of adult-entertainment films filed a spate of “John Doe” copyright infringement lawsuits in New York recently, adding to its already prolific caseload of complaints throughout the country.
The plaintiff, Strike 3 Holdings of Camden, Delaware, filed 19 lawsuits in the Empire State last week alleging the content of its movies were stolen and redistributed via distinct IP addresses.
