The Georgia Supreme Court played a bit of judicial musical chairs this week as two of the newest members recused themselves from high-profile cases and different judges replaced them for oral arguments in back-to-back cases.

When the justices lined up by seniority to enter the courtroom Monday morning—from least to most senior, as usual—two new faces led the way. They took a break after that case, returning for the second argument with a different pair of stand-in judges.
