The DeKalb County district attorney’s office suggested that the judge who suddenly reversed two major convictions in a school contracting scandal did so as a way to get back at a Court of Appeals panel that criticized her handling of a related case.

The retaliation claim came amid a flurry of motions filed by District Attorney Robert James’ office to void what Superior Court Judge Cynthia J. Becker did Monday in the matter of Crawford Lewis, the former school superintendent whose 12-month prison sentence was vacated by the appeals court last week.
