A woman who was run over by a golf cart in Peachtree City settled her lawsuit against the driver for $400,000 after the Georgia Court of Appeals ruled that the driver’s homeowner’s insurance would cover the damages, according to her lawyer.

The plaintiff’s lead counsel Darl Champion Jr. of the Champion Firm said his strategy for the settlement demand was to ask for less than the $500,000 policy limit, giving the insurance company “incentive just to be done with it.”
