The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) brought an employment discrimination suit against the food processor, Smithfield Foods, in a Georgia federal court, claiming the company used an employee’s initial refusal to relocate to its Virginia headquarters as pretext for firing her due to her age.
