The U.S. Senate on Thursday confirmed Southern Poverty Law Center attorney Nancy Abudu to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, nearly 16 months after she was first nominated to the bench.
She will be the first Black woman to serve on the Atlanta-based appeals court.
