On Wednesday, Jones Day announced its Atlanta office is getting a new partner straight from Georgia’s highest court.

Former Georgia Supreme Court Chief Justice David Nahmias will head Jones Day’s investigations and white-collar defense practice in Atlanta following his more than 10 years in the court. Additionally, he spent nearly 15 years at the U.S. Department of Justice before being appointed as a justice, including five years serving as the U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Georgia.
