Georgia Supreme Court oral arguments were never the same again after Justice David Nahmias joined in 2009.

To say he was the most aggressive questioner on the court would be an understatement. In the early days, he was sometimes the only questioner, save for a gentle one or two. But the justices who came after Nahmias picked up on his cue. Lawyers who’ve argued there often in recent years said Monday his influence spread far beyond what could be seen in court and will have lasting effects on Georgia’s case law.
