Former Georgia Supreme Court Chief Justice Harold Melton called the new leaders of the high court a powerful “thunder and lightening duo” in a ceremony installing them in the House Chamber at the Capitol Monday.
Melton, now a partner with Troutman Pepper, gave introductory remarks for friend, former colleague and now Chief Justice Michael Boggs. Departing Chief Justice David Nahmias gave the oath to Boggs and now Presiding Justice Nels Peterson, who stepped up as next in line to be chief.
