The Emory University and Georgia State University law schools led the state with nearly identical scores when the Georgia Board of Bar Examiners released its February Multistate Bar Examination (MBE) results Thursday.

The board offers the MBE twice a year, normally in February and July. In the February exam, Emory led the way with an average score of 138.9, with Georgia State right behind it at 138.8. The board released its law school exam results nearly a week after announcing that 245 of 488 applicants (50.2%) passed the February exam, a 4.3% increase over the February 2021 test.
