Eight Georgia voters have filed a federal lawsuit against Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and the five other members of the State Election Board, arguing the state’s newly redrawn Georgia House of Representatives and Senate district maps are unconstitutional.

The complaint, filed Tuesday by the voters in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, claim the new maps violate the federal Voting Rights Act by weakening “the growing electoral strength of the state’s Black voters and other communities of color,” according to the court document.
