An elected prosecutor pleaded guilty last week to unprofessional conduct after being indicted in June for stealing public money from Hall County, Georgia and the crime victims’ relief funds to pay for her own personal travel expenses among other expenditures, state Attorney General Chris Carr announced.
On Friday, Hall County Solicitor General Stephanie Woodard was required to resign from her position after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor offense of unprofessional conduct. Woodard was sentenced under Georgia’s First Offender Act, and her probation was suspended after paying restitution at the time of the guilty plea.
