As is likely so with the vast majority of the plaintiffs bar—or litigators in general, for that matter—Georgia Trial Lawyers Association President Jon Pope said his reflections on the year past center on seemingly successful efforts to reopen the courts that have been derailed by the emergence of the COVID-19 omicron variant. 

“I think the biggest challenge of the last year was and still is dealing with COVID, and our efforts to get trials moving forward,” said Pope, a personal injury specialist with Atlanta’s Hasty Pope.
