The Supreme Court of Georgia has ruled in the American Civil Liberties Union’s favor in a defamation lawsuit filed by a former Glynn County public defender, finding courts below were mistaken in denying the organization’s effort to dismiss the suit.
The justices’ ruling reversed the Georgia Court of Appeals’ decision upholding that denial at the trial court level.
