The prosecutor who allegedly falsified evidence in a Georgia rape case is under investigation for misconduct and previously has been accused of similar behavior.

Robert Schollmeyer was accused of withholding exculpatory evidence in an Oconee County rape trial, prompting Superior Court Judge Lawton Stephens to declare a mistrial. In a 1996 Missouri murder trial, Schollmeyer and another prosecutor, Kenny Holshof, were accused of coaxing false testimony from witnesses and withholding exculpatory evidence.
