After stepping down from his role leading the state ethics commission and switching firms, Atlanta lawyer Jake Evans is officially off and running for U.S. Congress in 2022.
As expected, Evans has stepped into the race to unseat Georgia’s 6th District Rep. Lucy McBath, a Democrat. She flipped the North Metro Atlanta seat in 2018, defeating Republican Karen Handel, and held onto it against the same opponent in 2020, when Georgia elected Democrats for president and U.S. Senate.
