A wrongful death action has been filed against Piedmont Hospital after a June 30 incident when a woman drove her Mercedes SUV through its Emergency Room lobby, killing one person and injuring four more.
The complaint filed Wednesday in Fulton County State Court said Piedmont’s failure to install any sort of barrier or bollards to prevent vehicles from driving over the concrete apron outside the ER doors and entering the lobby allowed the death of Kimberly Hill, 55.
