Defense lawyers for reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley claim agents from the Georgia Department of Revenue used a ruse to illegally seize the couple’s possessions without a warrant.

Federal prosecutors, working in tandem with state revenue agents, then engaged in legal sleight-of-hand to secure financial documents that state agents seized in order to pursue federal fraud charges against the Chrisleys, according to a pleading filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia in Atlanta Friday.
