As a Democratic candidate for Gwinnett district attorney, I do not believe HB 481 is constitutional, and, therefore, will not prosecute anyone under this statute if elected district attorney in 2020.
The district attorney is the gatekeeper of justice in every circuit in Georgia. As such, we have a responsibility to stand up against laws that unjustly criminalize our citizens for personal decisions. If elected DA, my office will not prosecute anyone unconstitutionally.
