LawJam, the annual battle of the lawyer bands, raised $35,000 this year for the Atlanta Bar Foundation’s minority clerkship and summer law internship programs. Seven bands competed on June 27 at Variety Playhouse, and Electric Bonfires won best band. “Big Sleep Lies” by The Kevins won best original song, garnering the band a one-day recording session at Tree Sound Studios.

Marietta lawyer and state representative Burt Reeves emceed the contest. The judges were Kaedy Kiely of 97.1 The River, Josh Rifkind of the Songs for Kids Foundation and Barry Selvidge of Prime Point Media.
