Lion Country Safari is celebrating its 50th birthday with a change of ownership.
Wildlife conservationist Marcella Leone has agreed to purchase the Palm Beach County outdoor attraction, the park announced Tuesday. Leone is founder and director of the Connecticut-based nonprofit Leo Zoological Conservation Center, which focuses on breeding endangered species.
