PURPOSE: To consider approval of minutes, bid opening lists, items submitted by the Superintendent, School Board Members, School Board Attorney, and other pertinent matters. A copy of the agenda will be available no later than 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 12, 2021. The agenda can be viewed by accessing the website www.dadeschools.net under Board Information. A copy of the agenda will also be available at Citizen Information Center, Room 102, 1450 N.E. Second Avenue. For further information, telephone 305-995-1128. PERSONS WISHING TO SPEAK TO AN AGENDA ITEM listed for this meeting and/or the REGULAR PUBLIC HEARING should submit a written request to the Superintendent of Schools, 1450 N.E. Second Avenue, Room 102, Miami, Florida 33132 or at via-email [email protected], NO LATER THAN 4:30 P.M., MONDAY, APRIL 19, 2021. A person wishing to appeal any decision made by the Board with respect to any matter considered at this meeting (hearing) should ensure the preparation of a verbatim record of the proceedings, including the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.

The public hearing shall begin no later than approximately 6:30 p.m. The Chair may begin calling speakers who are present immediately following the conclusion of the regular agenda. The public hearing shall not conclude before 4:30 p.m., unless all of the speakers signed up to speak are present and have been given the opportunity to speak.

Under extraordinary circumstances, the Board may approve an individual Board member’s request to access, participate in, and to vote at this meeting utilizing communications media technology

Any person may present live comments by attending the School Board Administration Building’s Auditorium, 1450 NE 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33132. In accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines each person will be required to wear a face covering over their nose and mouth (individuals are responsible for providing their own facial covering) and remain at least six (6) feet from other attendees upon arrival as they enter the School Board Administration Building and until his/her departure. Individuals who fail to adhere to these guidelines may be required to leave the premises.

ANNOUNCEMENT PUBLIC NOTICE OF SCHOOL DISTRICT’S SPRING RECESS

The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida announces that its offices will be closed for business during the School District’s Spring Recess on the following dates:

From Monday, March 29, 2021 through Friday, April 2, 2021.

School District offices will reopen on Monday, April 5, 2021.

Selected offices, which have regular interaction with the public, will have limited staff available on those days. Persons who have questions regarding the available services during the Spring Recess or who require information regarding School District matters during the Spring Recess period may contact 305-995-3000.
