Details: Roy Taylor supervised painting crews on a military housing project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in 1977, the same year the U.S. banned the use of the mineral fiber asbestos in building materials. Exposure to asbestos has been found to increase the risk of lung cancer.

The crews used the Ready-Mix joint compound made by Georgia-Pacific LLC for drywall finishing, James Ferraro Sr. said.
