A New Jersey law firm has gone to federal court to compel its insurers to cover a suit by a law librarian who was wrongly accused of setting off a false fire alarm and dismissed.

Although Sheila Ciemniecki is suing for wrongful termination and malicious prosecution, Mount Laurel-based Parker McCay argues her claims amount to personal injury since she alleges pain, suffering and mental anguish that required medical and professional treatment. Such damages fall under the policies’ definition of bodily injury, the firm argues.
