When Adalberto Jordan and Ed Davis were up-and-coming Miami lawyers two decades ago, Davis noticed three characteristics about the future federal judge: his incredible legal intellect, what a fundamentally good person he was and the fact he was completely apolitical.

“I couldn’t tell you Judge Jordan’s political affiliation, and I doubt many could,” said Davis, who made partner in the same class as Jordan at Steel Hector & Davis. The Astigarraga Davis partner said, “I can tell you that he is a genuinely good person who is one of the smartest people I’ve ever met.”
