A Jupiter-based company has won a $56.6 million breach of contract judgment against a subsidiary of one of the Caribbean’s largest insurance companies.
In 2008, Green Island Holdings of Jupiter sold Green Island Ventures to British American Isle of Venice, a subsidiary of British American Insurance, for $295 million. Green Island Ventures held purchase rights to 6,000 acres of land near Kissimmee slated for a mini-city.
