During my Debbie’s Dream Foundation leadership tenure, I have helped to lead and grow our Stomach Cancer Capitol Hill Advocacy Day in Washington D.C. This is an annual advocacy event in which we have brought together hundreds of stomach cancer patients/survivors, family members, and advocates from across country to meet with Congressional members and staff, for purposes of raising awareness for stomach cancer and advocating for increased federal research funding grants and other scientific initiatives aimed towards finding a cure for this deadly disease.
