Chicago-based law firm Vedder Price is ushering in the new year by opening a new Miami office anchored by a Greenberg Traurig veteran, and it aims to continue snagging talent in South Florida.

The Am Law 200 firm opened an office in the city Thursday after a long year of law firms rushing into the market to meet the demand from clients, who are also moving to the region in droves. Although firms from across the country are heading to the Sunshine State, Chicago’s biggest firms have been particularly eager entrants.
