With Florida’s legal sector continuing to provide opportunities for law firms across the country, the Daily Business Review analyzed data from the Florida Bar to see which firms without a physical office in Florida have lawyers barred in the state anyway.

The analysis found that 52 Am Law-ranked firms had lawyers barred in Florida despite not hosting a physical office there. Am Law-ranked firms based in New York led the way, with 11 of them housing more than one Florida-barred lawyer, despite lacking a Florida office. California, Washington, D.C. and Ohio-based firms followed New York in the number of Florida licensees.
