The D.C.-based Akrivis Law Group recently joined the growing list of law firms moving into Miami, adding former federal prosecutor Walter Norkin, who will head the office’s International Crime Defense practice, to its roster.

The boutique law firm typically represents clients in the U.S. and abroad who deal with international law on matters including sanctions, international trade and white-collar defense. The firm’s expansion into South Florida positions it to tap into a market filled with international clients ranging from Russian oligarchs to Venezuelan expats facing hurdles with U.S. laws.
