A jury found that a Homestead Walmart store was not liable for an incident in which a customer slipped on spilled oil.

On Oct. 19, 2017, plaintiff Yolanda Allen, a woman in her 50s, shopped at a superstore that was located at 13600 SW 288th St., in Homestead. Allen claimed that she slipped on cooking oil that had spilled onto the store’s floor. She claimed that her body twisted, and she further claimed that she resultantly suffered injuries of an arm, her back, a knee and a shoulder.
