CSX, the Florida-based railroad freight company, sued Lanyard Power Holdings Thursday in Maryland District Court. The complaint, brought by Cohen & Palombo, accuses Lanyard employees of tampering with a track switch, causing the derailment of five CSX cars containing limestone. Lawyers have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 8:22-cv-00655, CSX Transportation, Inc. v. Lanyard Power Holdings, LLC, f/k/a GenOn Mid-Atlantic, LLC.
