Both the pandemic and subsequent reopening of the economy appear to have reshaped South Florida’s retail landscape to its benefit, according to a new report that puts Miami ahead of its pre-pandemic highs. 

Retail sales were up more than 27% and occupancy and rents passed previous records in the first quarter of 2022, according to Marcus & Millichap’s U.S. retail investment forecast.
