Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz shareholder Donald Christopher has appealed to the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals in a dispute over $140,733 in attorney fees for the lawyer’s work in a guardianship case involving the late Kathleen DuRoss Ford, widow of Henry Ford II.

But Christopher, based in Orlando, isn’t suing DuRoss Ford’s estate. While he may be entitled to fees in ongoing guardianship litigation in which he represents DuRoss Ford’s daughter, Deborah DuRoss Guibord, in her attempt to oust West Palm Beach attorney Frank Chopin as trustee of DuRoss Ford’s estate, Christopher is also suing Chopin himself for attorney fees.
