A jury rejected a man who claimed that an accident in a Miami store resulted in amputation of a leg.
On June 23, 2010, plaintiff Vernal Khorran visited a store that was located at 18517 S. Dixie Highway, in the town of Cutler Bay. He claimed that he was struck by a 10-pound trailer hitch that had fallen off of a shelf of merchandise. He claimed that he suffered an injury of a knee. Khorran sued the store’s owner, Harbor Freight Tools USA Inc. The lawsuit alleged that the store’s staff negligently created a dangerous condition that injured Khorran.
