If you’re a law student who wants to return to campus next fall, there’s a good chance you’ll need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. More than 100 colleges and universities have announced vaccine mandates for all students in recent weeks, and that list is expanding rapidly.

But vaccine mandates for students have met with some political opposition. Nova Southeastern University, located in Davie, Florida, and home to the Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center, announced April 1 that all students and staff would need the COVID-19 vaccination. But a week later the university walked that back and said it was reevaluating the policy after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed an executive order that the state would cut off grants to any businesses mandating COVID-19 vaccines.
