An attorney remains under investigation for his ties to a Suffield man who pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court Tuesday to conspiracy and tax evasion charges stemming from his involvement in a securities fraud scheme.

Christian Meissenn, 44, and others conspired to defraud investors between 2009 and July 2016 through a so-called stock pump and dump, according to documents and statements made in court. Meissenn faces up to 20 years in prison for conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, and between five and 20 years for tax evasion.
