A federal judge in Bridgeport has signed off on a settlement for a class action suit that claimed the Performance Lacrosse Group falsely claimed its lacrosse helmets met industry safety standards.

The settlement does not include a common fund but provides vouchers of $10 to $35 to each class member and awards counsel fees of $350,000. U.S. Magistrate Judge William Garfinkel approved the settlement, fee award and payments of $1,500 each in incentive awards to two class representatives.
