Colleagues and friends are mourning the loss of Associate Deputy Attorney General David Margolis, who was known for his lengthy career in public service, legal mind and ability to give good advice. He passed away on July 12.

Margolis, a Hartford native, started out his career decades ago as a federal prosecutor in Connecticut before getting his job in Washington, D.C. Overall, he spent more than five decades with the U.S. Department of Justice. Loyalty earned him “most senior” status as he had worked there longer than any other current employee.
