A federal judge has dismissed MGM Resorts International’s suit claiming a new Connecticut law unconstitutionally discriminated against the company building a casino rivaling ones in Connecticut.

U.S. District Court Judge Alvin Thompson stated in his June 23 decision that MGM Resorts was not able to show how the act would or has damaged them and granted the state’s motion to dismiss. MGM, represented by Neil Roman of New York’s Covington & Burling, filed notice that same day that it will appeal the decision.
