The state Judicial Branch announced another 61 layoffs on Friday, bringing the total jobs eliminated to 300, as court administrators seek to bring spending within the budget approved by lawmakers.
Chief Court Administrator Patrick L. Carroll III sent a letter to employees on Thursday, May 19 to notify them that the positions of 61 temporary court clerks and temporary court recording monitors are being eliminated at the close of business on June 22.
