The Hartford-based intellectual property firm of Cantor Colburn has added two new attorneys, including a former in-house counsel for Connecticut aircraft engine maker Pratt & Whitney.

David A. Burns, the former Pratt & Whitney attorney, is a counsel in Cantor Colburn’s Detroit office. Alisha Taylor, a patent attorney with a master’s degree in chemistry, will be an associate in the firm’s Hartford office. “We are very pleased with the addition of David and Alisha to Cantor Colburn because they both have skill sets that will assist our clients immediately,” said co-managing partner Philmore H. Colburn II.
