A legal battle is brewing over the venue for a lawsuit that was filed on behalf of nine children and adults who were killed in the 2012 Newtown school shooting.

The families and shooting survivor Natalie Hammond filed a lawsuit in December against the makers of the Bushmaster AR-15 rifle that was used to kill 20 first-graders and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School. In their complaint, the plaintiffs claim the rifle is too dangerous to be sold to civilians.
