A new program rolling out in state courts should be of interest to civil litigators tired of spending hours sitting around a courthouse, only to argue motions to a judge unfamiliar with their case.

The individual calendaring program will assign certain civil cases to one particular judge through the pleading process, discovery and trial – from “cradle to grave,” said Judge Douglas Mintz, the presiding civil judge for the Stamford/Norwalk Judicial District.
