Former HCBA real estate committee chairman

Harold F. Keith, of Pilot’s Point, Westbrook, died July 15, at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford. He had been a member of the Massachusetts and Connecticut bars since 1948. He practiced law in Connecticut since the early 1950s with the law firms of Ribicoff & Kotkin, Hyman, Keith, Harding, Utensky & Birnbaum, and O’Connell, Flaherty & Attmore. Keith was chairman of the Real Estate Committee of the Hartford County Bar Association from 1963 to 1968. He served as the mayor of West Hartford, from 1955 to 1959. He also chaired the Capitol Region Planning Agency from 1959 to 1962, and was a member and chairman of the Greater Hartford Flood Commission from 1956 to 1985. He served on the state Board of Parole and the Public Utilities Commission as well. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Home Builders Association of Connecticut.
