The former president of Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority claims prominent Bridgeport plaintiffs’ attorney Richard A. Bieder is among those responsible for dragging his name through the mud and harming his ability to earn a living.

Robert E. Wright’s 2004 defamation suit has partially survived a motion to strike. But Bieder, who disputes the allegations, said last week that a judge’s recent decision to wipe out half of the suit’s claims is a positive development for the defense.
