A Middletown man might escape conviction, even after police found more than 7 pounds of marijuana at his house. He can thank a faulty arrest warrant and an unforgiving Appellate Court for his possible good fortune.
The warrant mistakenly said that police hoped to find “cocaine and crack cocaine” in the home of Herbert Browne. In reality, authorities were hoping to seize marijuana and, in fact, they located a sizable stash of pot.
