We now know beyond a shadow of doubt that the “harsh interrogation” of thousands of persons captured by American armed forces has been ordered and implemented by the executive branch of our government.
“Harsh interrogation” is the Bush administration euphemism for torture. It is prohibited under United Nations and Geneva Conventions and constitutes a grave war crime.
